Do you find it difficult to get products and services across to the right audience?
Lack of vision and proper marketing principles are the major factors of failure in blogging. We’re all looking for that “thing” that makes the difference.
I don’t know what level of growth or failure you’re experiencing in your business; it could be as a result of “complicated content marketing.”
If you’re very observant, you’ll discover that internet marketers like difficult things.
For instance, we were made to neglect “too-good-to-be-true business models.
And I quite understand your point when you stand firm and refuse to fling out your credit card to buy.
But when it comes to content marketing; using articles and videos to drive the right prospects, you’ve to make it simple.
Yes, simplify it and stop chasing the shadows. Let me show you how…
Stop Writing And Think About What Content Is About
Doesn’t it surprise you how we all get carried away in this writing stuff that we forget the major thing. What is the purpose of writing articles and creating a video? If you cannot answer this question, you won’t push the right buttons no matter how much creativity you put in.
The moment you understand the “purpose” of writing, the whole content marketing being weird and unclear will become simple. If you must write articles to promote your business, what’s your main aim?
- Do you want sales?
- Do you want leads (subscribers)?
- Do you want clients?
- Do you want to build your brand?
- Do you want to build credibility?
- Do you want to build backlinks?
- Do you want to optimize for search engines?
- Do you want to satisfy your writing passion?
- Do you write to enhance your portfolio?
Etc.
What do you want to achieve with your content? For me, I write to build credibility, become known in the blogosphere so that clients can hire my services and pay handsomely for hard work.
At the beginning of my writing career, I was writing solely for backlinks, in order to improve my SEO performance. What is your purpose for typing those words?
Guest Posting Will Not Make Any Difference If…
I’m an avid guest blogger.
I’ve written over 500 quality guest posts and syndicated them across A-list and upcoming blogs. Throughout this period, I discovered that this business model is cute, but it can destroy your online business.
If you do not have a vision of what you want to achieve, you’ll fail and your business may go bankrupt in seasons to come.
As I highlighted above on the major reasons why you should write contents to market your expertise – if you didn’t find your reason yet, stop whatever guest posting strategy you’re using and set your goal right away.
I’m concerned about your business and I know you won’t succeed if you continue this way. Stop writing and ask yourself questions. If you’re broke and have special skills that others need in their business, your writing should be to attract targeted clients who need your services. This is the only way to make money as you deliver quality works.
You Don’t Need Huge Traffic, If It’s Crime, Sue Me To Court
I’m proud to say this and will say it again, “you don’t need huge traffic to succeed online. In fact, why I failed in 2009 and made $0.00 was because every content marketing system I employed was based on driving 1000s of visitors to my site.
Luckily, there was a day I got 2109 people on my blog, guess what – only 23 people subscribed to my email list and one person decided to buy my affiliate product.
Did I succeed or failed woefully? Don’t be afraid, say it as it is – I failed woefully. That conversion is pretty horrible and I wouldn’t want that to happen to you.
So, if you don’t need huge traffic to succeed as a content marketer, what do you need?
You need “few potential clients/customers” who need your services right now or are inclined to using it anytime soon. You can read the line again.
These days, I’m restrategizing. I don’t want to experience failure again. The experts may not tell you the truth because they want you to always come back for more information and off course, it’s not free. But my aim of writing this is to expose you to the immense benefit of “focused content marketing.”
You’ve wasted a lot of time in your online business, hoping to hit the jackpot one day. But is there any sign you’ll soon – please answer that.
The Only Content Marketing Secret That Works
What you need to excel in this horrible and competitive content marketing game is to “get focused.” Instead of writing down your article titles and determining blogs to target, set your priorities aright. Remove all the complicacies.
If guest posting is working for you, stick to it and forget about video marketing. Fortunately, whenever I write a helpful guest article and publish on authority blogs, I usually get hired by 1 – 2 high paying clients.
It’s a clear-signal that I’m doing the right thing. What about you?
Find out your best marketing system that’s worked in the past and stick to it. Doing everything at the same time would only complicate content marketing and make it boring. And when marketing is boring, you’re heading for doom (I’m sorry for that…)
Content Marketing – The Bedrock of Online Business
Whatever your niche maybe, content marketing is the bedrock of your business. you need to take it serious, get rid of the chaffs that deter your progress and look towards the blue horizon where success lies. If social media marketing has not brought you fame, clients and backlinks, it’s time to MIND YOUR BUSINESS and leave facebook alone.
All in all, let me know what you think. Leave a comment below and don’t forget to share. I can’t wait to receive a slap from you if you don’t like this.
