Have you used any of these SEO tools?

It can be quite hard to keep up with all of the new SEO tools that continue to get released. So to help, here is a list of 10 SEO tools that will help get your website to the rank it deserves.

Some of these are premium tools that have a cost, but usually they will also allow you a free trial. So check them out and if you think it’s worth it, sign up!

Raven Tools

Raven Tools has been ranked as one of the best tools available for all of your SEO needs. It provides reporting, research, link building tools, and plenty more.

Although this tool is about $99 a month, you will be able to try it for free for 30 days. 30 Days is more than enough time to figure out if you want to continue with them or not.

SEO PowerSuite

This tool is a bunch of different tools that are all powerful and can play a massive role in getting your site ranked higher.

The unfortunate part is that each of these tools are separate, so you are unable to access all tools with one program.

Even if you only use a couple of the programs on a regular basis, the price is well worth it. The name of each tool are: LinkAssist, SEO Spyglass, WebSite Auditor, as well as Rank Tracker.

SEMrush has some very powerful features that can give you an edge on your competition within keywords and pay per click campaigns.

You can check exactly which keywords your competition is targeting, their pay per click budget, and rankings.

The competitive analysis and keyword research alone is well worth the price, but it also does offer other features. While the other features won’t be as powerful as some of the other tools listed here, it is still a tool to check out.

Formerly known as SEOmoz, this tool is a giant among giants when it comes to SEO tools. They have an incredible amount of resources, tools, and a active and helpful community.

As of right now, is going through a lot of changes so they haven’t posted their new prices yet, but you are able to go and request an invitation to get access to all of their goodies.

This is one of those tools that you have to at least try once, you will feel the power behind it almost immediately.

Market Samurai

 market samurai

This tool has been used by plenty of SEO marketers, but really focuses on making your SEO process much easier to manage.

While it can be useful for some, it also might hurt your website if not used properly. It has a great keyword research aspect and keyword suggestions. For the price of $147.00, you may want to look into some other tools first, but it is up to you.

This tool is focused on how simple it can be to use.

The only drawbacks are that it is nowhere near as powerful as some of the other options that you have. If you are a beginner, this might be a great place to start and introduce yourself into the SEO world.

Web CEO Online

 web ceo online

Another suite of tools that can all be extremely useful.

One particular thing about this tool is that it shows you which links are vital to your website and which ones might hurt it. With all of the Google updates to link building, this can be an extremely helpful tool.

Traffic Travis

 traffic travis

Another program that would be great for beginners.

Nothing to special about the program except it is very easy to use. It will still give you all of the basic information you will need to make the right SEO decisions.

SEO Studio

A free tool that provides you multiple different tools that can help you out with your SEO.

You will get a little more than your basic information, but nowhere near as much as some of the other premium tools. Its free, you might as well see if it can meet your needs.

Google Webmaster Tools

google webmaster

As most of us already know, Google has a good amount of SEO tools available for us.

The Google webmaster tools will provide you with reports regarding your traffic, links, indexing issues, and will also allow you to keep them informed of any major changes that might happen to your site.

Hello Michael,
you have shared nice collection of SEO tools which can be quite useful for every user whether a beginner or an expert. I haven’t heard of some of them but some of the tools I used are just superb eg.. SEMrush,Raven & best of the best Google webmaster tool. Google webmaster tool is the best as it does half of SEO work for your blog post if used effectively, I use SEMrush tool for better research on a particular niche keyword. Both of them worked fine for me. Heard of Raven but I haven’t yet given it a try as it proves to costly for me. I just learnt about rest of the tools from this blog post itself & liked the working of Web CEO Online tool very much. It could be quite useful in finding out which link is better for our blog and which is not, though Disavow tool still works fine but one can also give it a try as an alternate. ANyways thanks for writing this informative article.

AdShark Marketing · October 4, 2013 at 8:49 pm

Hi Michael,

Nice overview, it’s always interesting to see how the tools I use most overlap with others.

I did notice that your descriptions are pretty brief, do you have some examples on “how” you might use these tools specifically for improving a content marketing campaign?

In my opinion, how tools are used is more important than which tools, and some tips here might be more useful to your readers. Just my .02!
